By Appointment U-Pick Flowers + DIY Buckets, Produce and 2020!

Thank you to our community for an exceptional first U-pick flower year! There were visits from old friends and opportunities to make so many new ones. It filled us to the brim to watch four year olds making dried strawflower crowns in the barn, women gather in friendship for an afternoon of picking bouquets and to hear sounds of delight coming from the fields, from the discovery of a new bloom or from one of so many tiny frogs hidden between petals. Many who visited shared heartfelt stories of their own connection with food, farming and flowers. It has been our dream to share this land with community. We are already excitedly planning for our 2020 season.

In addition to growing a number of new fillers, greenery and accents next season, we’ll have an even wider variety of the flowers we loved so much. We hope to double our vegetable production and will soon begin work on the half acre we will be putting into U-pick raspberries next season. We have ordered our seeds and have started mapping out new configurations of our fields. It seems hard to believe that we will begin seed germination in just four short months (January). We are looking forward to many family game nights by the wood stove this winter as we rest after a very busy and physically-demanding season.

For the remainder of the U-pick/DIY bucket flower season (through September), please call ahead to make an appointment. Planning in advance will ensure that we can accommodate your needs!

Our farm stand will be open through late October. We will soon have ornamental gourds and pumpkins for sale and will continue to have heirloom tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, slicing cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, squash, carrots, garlic, greens, and eggs. We will have “Purple Lady” bok choy, Chinese cabbage, red and green butterhead lettuce and sugar snap peas available soon at our farm stand and through Kitsap Fresh. We will also continue to offer our eggs and small flower bouquets through Kitsap Fresh through October.

We already have a number of free, family-friendly events planned for 2020 (including movie nights on the farm). So stay tuned!

With so much gratitude,

Stacy, Kelsey and Elliot

(And dogs Jasper and Dutch, barn cats Cinder and Mia, geese Luna and Pepita and our many chickens)
